A downloadable game

i want to make a game but i have no experience whatsoever in unity and i want to try side projects first so it would be really helpful and i will try my best to create them to gain experience with unity and coding. please let the idea be do-able in 2d becuase my pc cant handle 3d. you can also tell me what assets i could use that would be really helpful, even if you dont have a game idea.
